ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: E is for....

"Eos-The Greek Goddess of the Dawn"
PRISMACOLOR, INK, AND MAGAZINE CLIPPINGS ON PAPER

Here is this weeks submission for ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY. I've been hit with a nasty cold. From my perch on the couch I made this little collage/drawing. I've been thinking a lot lately about handwriting as a design element, so this was a little experiment with that. Unfortunately, since I was horizontal for most of this process, I got glue all over the place. Made the color seem a lttle weird on her dress. Well, that's life with germs and a kitty who likes to sleep on your chest while you sketch. Not a bad day....minus the germ part. :)

EVERYDAY MATTERS #48-New Years Resolution

The challenge for this EVERYDAY MATTERS was to draw something that represents your New Years goal or resolution. I only had one resolution---to never pay for a haircut again. So on New Years Eve Ryan took the clippers to my shaggy 'do. This is my homage to the handy clippers that will enable me to stay away from $30 haircuts forever! Whoo-hoo! Sweet, sweet liberation.

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY-Flavor

My first submission for ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY was inspired by this quote:

"If life were predictable, it would cease to be life, and be without flavor."

-Eleanor Roosevelt

It might be cheating to use the quote to get to the FLAVOR theme, but it lead me to Horace...and I sort of like the little guy. All of us could use a little more color in our lives, after all. Especially on these gray winter days. Hope it brings a smile to your face. Comments are always welcome.
